Clinical Fellowship
A fellowship at Hamm Clinic is available to post-graduate degree professionals in:
- Clinical Social Work
- Clinical Psychology
- Psychiatry
The fellowship program emphasizes clinical work with a focus on diagnostic evaluation and individual psychotherapy, with opportunities for couple and group therapy. The fellow and his/her primary supervisor meet weekly for 1–2 hours of supervision, in addition to primary duties and mandatory seminars.
Other learning objectives related to particular disciplines will also be addressed and may include:
- Psychological assessment—MMPI-2, Rorschach, TAT
- Intellectual assessment
- Medication consultation
- Research
- Program development
- Outreach
A Hamm Clinic fellowship typically lasts one year with the option of either full or part-time. The majority of fellowships begin in September and end the following September.
Fellows may be able to acquire post-degree supervision hours for state licensure and other types of advanced training certificates. Hamm Clinic provides a modest stipend for fellows each year which is determined by the number of hours committed to the fellowship.
