Roger Opp

Mr. Opp joined the Board of Directors of Hamm Clinic in 2009.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Minnesota in 1974.  In 1975 he began working for the St. Paul Bank of Cooperatives as an analyst and a lending officer in the Agribusiness Division. He subsequently managed the Rural Utility Lending Department until the St. Paul for Cooperatives merged with CoBank, ACB in 1999. Mr. Opp currently manages and services a $350 million portfolio of 25 cooperative, closely held, and publically held telecommunications companies for CoBank, ACB. Borrowers include both startups and companies with over 100 years of operating history. Duties include counseling and advising management and board of directors. He has instructed numerous classes on director responsibility and corporate governance for various sate and national telecommunications industry groups. Mr. Opp is a Board Member, serves on the Executive and Finance Committees, and past Treasurer of Art Space Projects, Inc. Art Space develops living and performance space for artists. It is currently developing the Schubert Theatre in downtown Minneapolis and is developing and/or manages numerous housing developments across the United States. He is also a Board Member of Community Learning International, a small NGO which builds and supports libraries, schools and economic development projects in Laos: a member of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Committee on Foreign Relations and a past Board Member of Greywolf Press.
