Richard P. Carroll, MD
Dr. Carroll was elected to the Board of Directors in September 2006, and is a member of the Planning Committee. He also has served on the Development Committee since 2005. Dr. Carroll has a private practice in Cosmetic and Reconstructive Eyelid, Lacrimal and Orbital Surgery in St. Paul, MN. He is also Clinical Professor of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and a consultant to the Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, P.A. Department of Ophthalmology at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. Dr. Carroll graduated B.S. cum laude from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio in 1962, received his M.D. in 1966 from the Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois, was Chief Resident in Ophthalmology at the Duke University Eye Center in Durham, North Carolina in 1973 and Heed Fellow for the Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Houston, Texas in 1974. Presently Dr. Carroll serves on several Board and Associations in the field of ophthalmology. He has also served on the Board of Editors for the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Minnesota Medicine, Journal of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Ocular Surgery News and Ophthalmology. Dr. Carroll has authored several publications and given several presentations in the Twin cities Metropolitan community.
